…and all the latest information on the hottest Carnival in town
(and award winning at that) can be found right here…

So what’s happening for 2024?

It’s taking place on Saturday 8th June starting at 10:00am with the 10K race, followed by the parade at 11:30 and then the party starts at the showground!

This year our theme is Health & Wellbeing… It is so important to look after eachother and also ourselves, we are hoping that you will find a lot of great ideas on how to taks a little time out to look after No1

We are pleased that our event kicks off the Great Big Green week and will be continuing our steps to make the Carnival a little Greener each year! This year we would love to see less rubbish on the site. this can be done by taking your recycling home with you or even bringing your own reuseable bottle for the day.

You can apply for a float and decorate it in whichever way you would like to perceive the Health & Wellness Theme. We will be updating our site with more details about our own theme and what that looks like to the Carnival in 2024 soon!

We’ll be releasing more information throughout the year as it gets closer to the time, but if you’d like to book a float, have a stall, get yourself on our entertainment roster or look at our sponsorship packages, then please do get in touch with one of the team, detailed below.

Carnival Day:

Here’s a summary of how things go down…

The Parade & Floats

The Parade Starts @ 11:30 on Burnmill Road and will parade through closed roads that include the town, along Coventry Road, East Farndon Road, Welland Park Road, Northampton Road and then finish on St Mary’s Road at the showground entrance.

2022 Theme

This Year’s theme is ‘GREEN’ We are pleased to kick start the Big Green Week in Market Harborough and are encouraging our parade to join in too! Not only will our parade be ‘Green’ but our Carnival party will be themed around being green. We would like to educate ourselves and the families of our community into taking footsteps to being a little bit greener

Voting

We will be using the same voting system as last year, where we will have manned sealed containers where people can vote using coins. The winner will be the one with the MOST coins, NOT the value. Where there is a tie, the value will be taken into account.

Showground

Watch this space for the full event listing to be announced nearer the time.

But you can be assured that it will be full of fun and exciting local acts and entertainment.

And the fun doesn’t stop at 5…

Join us for our Evening Programme of local bands.

Bring a rug or chairs, dust off your dancing shoes and carry on carnivalling with us until 9pm!

Trade Stalls

The Carnival is all about showcasing the wonderful array of local produce and displaying stalls from local businesses.

We’re already booking in stalls for 2023, so to be in with a chance of securing your spot, then you need to get in contact now.
