About the

Market Harborough Carnival

The Market Harborough Carnival is a community event which traditionally takes place on the second Saturday in June.

The event begins with a float procession through the town, ending at Symington Rec. There are over 90 stalls with food, drink, games and other local businesses offering things for sale.

There’s a main stage with local acts appearing throughout the day, as well as a football tournament, and Race Harborough also undertake a 5km and 10km race which ends on the Rec on the morning of the event.

In 2019, the action kicks off from 10.45 and ends at 9pm with live music from the main stage happening from 5pm.

A new Committee joined last year to revamp the Carnival and it was relaunched with much success. So much so that we’re shortlisted for the Best Festival in the Leicestershire Tourism Awards!
